TAOS has however taken appropriate safeguards to ensure that the receiving parties of your data in countries outside of the EU/EEA shall provide an adequate protection of your data. Such safeguards may be that the receiving party has joined the Privacy Shield (if the receiving party is a company established in the United States) or that the receiving party has signed so called standard data protection clauses adopted by the EU Commission. 5. RETAINING AND DELETING PERSONAL DATA
- We will retain your personal data as follows:
- personal data will be retained for a maximum period of 6 years following your last order.
- In some cases we may hold your personal data even if you have not placed an order. In such cases, we will determine the period of retention based on the following criteria:
- the period of retention of users who have not placed an order will be 12 months since their last engagement with us. That is to say if you have not opened an TAOS email in a 12-month period we will remove your from all marketing lists.
- Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Section 5, we may retain your personal data where such retention is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject, or in order to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person.
