Hand Carved Wood Spoons - Rony

secretbarrythings is Barry Paulson, an American-born (Pipestone, MN) artist, carpenter and woodworker living in Barcelona, Spain since 1999. Armed with a carving axe, a Sloyd knife, and a hook knife, he hand-carves wooden objects and home decor: anything from wooden spoons and knives, Star Wars toys, to giant 3D letters with lights. He has collaborated with internationally recognized artists, built sets and props for cinema & commercials, designed customized furniture for shops, and even taught Graphic Design concepts at an international design school. 

TAOS is showcasing his hand-carved wooden spoons and knives made from poplar, cedar, walnut, iroko, sapele, beech, sycamore, ash, mahogany, birch, etc. After carving, they are burnished and then treated with either organic walnut oil or a mixture of beeswax and jojoba oil to nourish and protect/seal the wood.
