Our vision at TAOS is to inspire more people to think carefully about the items they have in their lives, by putting together a collection of beautifully designed products from honest origins; all with a story to tell.

Striving to make conscious choices every step along the way does not come easy. It starts with an intent, with a true feeling of wanting to do better, to live a more conscious lifestyle. Over the course of this year, we’ve listened with our deepest self. It has opened many doors, made us open and receptive. We’ve learned the importance of staying in the present. The present good: to reflect, be still and discover the art of sustainability.

This time of openness has helped us to discover hundreds of beautifully designed products made by independent makers and designers. Independent dreamers making products that stay close to their origins and home goods that truly do good. What started out as a passion for iconic vintage furniture has brought us here today, with everyone we’ve met along the way. And we’re ready to keep growing together.

TAOS is a principle, sustainability is a process. To be aware of the change that is happening you must pay attention with an open mind. The consequences of our behaviour are inescapable and we know that being human is no excuse. As people, we have a responsibility towards Mother Earth to strive to make more sustainable choices. If we can learn to truly listen, to take a good look at our daily practices we might feel a light tremble, a growing  desire to be more aware  — learn to listen, the shift is already in motion.
